Kensington Gardens
“Looking for fairies”
—Geraldine McCarrghean
Peter Pan in Scarlet
It was a full moon—
We were all Cruising
Kensington Gardens
We found lots of-
Groping fairies doing
The dirty in the bushes
One-night stands—
And dozens of queers
In the dark Scenery
Peter Pan’s Statue—
Stood cold and lifeless
There in the lonely park
Midges, moths—
And mayflies in our
Bungling Butterfly nets
But no Tinkerbell—
No Fairies with magic
Dust to make us Fly
